1. General Agreement & Platform Overview
Welcome to Global Skill Lab (globalskilllab.com), the official digital education and learning management platform operated by the Overseas Language & Freelancing Skills Development Society (registered under RJSC, Bangladesh).
These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding contractual agreement between you (“User”, “Student”, “Franchise Partner”, “Center Operator”, or “Instructor”) and the Society. By registering, creating an account, browsing courses, enrolling, submitting fees, or operating a center through this platform, you expressly agree to abide by and be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to all terms outlined herein, you must immediately terminate platform usage.
2. Terms & Conditions for Students / Learners
2.1 Account Creation & Enrollment
- Students must provide accurate, verifiable, and complete personal information (full legal name matching official NID/Passport, active phone number, and valid email) during registration.
- Account credentials, passwords, and access to student dashboards are personal and strictly non-transferable. Account sharing, concurrent multi-device logins to exploit content, or selling account access will trigger immediate, permanent suspension without refund.
- Course access is granted exclusively after verified payment clearance through supported gateways (bKash, Nagad, SSLCommerz).
2.2 Academic Integrity & Platform Conduct
- Students are expected to complete video lessons, quizzes, and practical assignments independently. Plagiarism, unauthorized submission of copied code/design projects, or fraudulent exam attempts will result in grade cancellation.
- Discussion forums, assignment reviews, and instructor interaction channels must remain respectful and professional. Harassment, abuse, inappropriate language, or spamming will lead to immediate account termination.
2.3 Course Material & Intellectual Property Rights
- All course curricula, video lectures, coding files, presentation slides, practice sets, and downloadable guides remain the exclusive intellectual property of the Society and respective instructors.
- Students receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license for personal learning purposes only. Screen recording, unauthorized downloading, reproduction, re-uploading to external platforms (e.g., YouTube, Telegram, Google Drive), or commercial redistribution is strictly prohibited and subject to legal prosecution under digital copyright and cyber security laws.
2.4 Certification Issuance & Verification
- Digital completion certificates are issued only when a student achieves 100% course completion and passes all required evaluations, quizzes, and capstone projects.
- Each certificate carries a tamper-proof verification ID and QR code linking directly to our public verification portal. The Society reserves the right to revoke or void any certificate found to have been obtained through fraudulent activity, automated bot completion, or academic dishonesty.
3. Terms & Conditions for Franchise Training Centers
3.1 Franchise Accreditation & Relationship
- An approved Training Center Franchise operates as an independent authorized partner under an official Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Society. Approval grants a non-exclusive license to conduct verified training programs within an agreed geographic territory.
- Franchise status does not create any joint venture, employment, or direct agency relationship beyond the educational scope governed by the formal partnership agreement.
3.2 Infrastructure & Operational Standards
- Franchise centers must maintain standard physical infrastructure, including verified computer lab capacities, stable high-speed broadband connections, proper audio-visual facilities, and clean classroom environments.
- Centers must strictly adhere to the central curriculum, approved textbook/software versions, and official fee structures stipulated by the Society. Unauthorized modifications to the syllabus or charging unapproved extra fees from students is strictly forbidden.
3.3 Financial Settlement, Royalties & Revenue Share
- Franchise billing, royalty splits, student batch collections, and course admission shares must be settled on designated settlement dates in accordance with the specific Franchise Contract.
- Any offline collections made directly at physical centers must be reconciled and registered in the central LMS immediately to ensure proper Student ID allocation and invoice processing.
3.4 Brand Compliance & Termination
- Franchisees are permitted to use the Society’s registered name, logo, and marketing materials solely for authorized course promotion.
- Breach of academic quality standards, financial default, unauthorized curriculum alteration, or actions damaging the Society’s public reputation will lead to immediate cancellation of franchise status, revocation of center access, and potential legal action.
4. Terms & Conditions for Center Operators & Administrative Staff
4.1 Role & System Responsibilities
- Center Operators are designated administrators responsible for overseeing regional student admissions, conducting physical lab sessions, maintaining attendance records, and handling offline queries.
- Operators must utilize the administrative portals strictly in accordance with assigned access permissions and standard operating procedures.
4.2 Data Protection & Confidentiality
- Operators hold a strict fiduciary duty of confidentiality regarding all student profiles, phone numbers, payment records, and identity documents accessible via the platform.
- Extracting, exporting, screenshotting, or sharing student contact information with external agencies, rival institutions, or third-party recruiters without written clearance from the central Society administration is a severe criminal violation.
4.3 Anti-Fraud & Operational Integrity
- Operators are forbidden from manually overriding student course completion marks, manipulating exam results, or fabricating batch enrollments.
- Any financial embezzlement, non-disclosure of received physical fees, or creation of counterfeit student records will result in summary dismissal, forfeiture of benefits, and formal criminal filing under applicable laws.
5. Terms & Conditions for Instructors, Teachers & Content Creators
5.1 Content Creation & Academic Quality
- Instructors onboarding to the course marketplace warrant that all uploaded lectures, lesson materials, quizzes, and documentation are entirely their original work or properly licensed for commercial education.
- Course content must be accurate, up to date, of high production quality (clear audio and HD video), and free of defamatory, politically provocative, or culturally derogatory content.
5.2 Content Licensing & Exclusivity
- By publishing a course on
globalskilllab.com, the instructor grants the Society a worldwide, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to market, host, promote, and distribute the course through our platform and franchise networks. - Unless an exclusivity clause is explicitly executed under a separate contract, instructors retain underlying intellectual property rights to their individual teaching materials while agreeing not to distribute identical, branded course variants that directly undermine our platform offerings.
5.3 Revenue Share & Payment Payouts
- Instructor earnings are calculated based on valid, cleared course sales after deducting payment gateway processing fees, applicable taxes, and the agreed marketplace commission percentage.
- Payouts will be disbursed periodically via verified bank transfer or authorized mobile financial services (bKash/Nagad), subject to meeting minimum payout thresholds.
- The Society reserves the right to withhold payouts pending investigation if an instructor’s course incurs excessive chargebacks, student fraud flags, or substantial plagiarism claims.
5.4 Instructor Conduct & Student Communication
- Instructors must provide reasonable response rates to student inquiries in the Q&A dashboard and timely evaluations of assignments.
- Instructors are strictly prohibited from soliciting students to engage in private off-platform transactions, paid side tutorials, or alternative commercial services that bypass platform gateways.
6. Financial Policies, Payments & Refunds
6.1 Payment Processing & Currency
- All course fees, franchise licensing fees, and subscription charges are billed in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT) unless international checkout is explicitly enabled.
- Transactions processed via bKash, Nagad, or SSLCommerz are subject to real-time verification and anti-fraud monitoring.
6.2 Refund Policy
- Digital Video & Self-Paced Courses: Due to the immediate delivery of digital assets and downloadable resources, refund requests are generally not entertained once a student has accessed more than 15% of the course modules or downloaded supplementary assets.
- Special Circumstances: If duplicate payment occurs due to technical gateway timeouts, the excess amount will be refunded upon verification within 7 to 10 business days.
- Franchise Fees: Franchise onboarding fees and third-party software licensing charges are non-refundable once physical or digital access is granted.
7. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers
- Educational Purpose: The Society provides skill development, international language training, and career launchpad resources[cite: 1, 2]. While we provide comprehensive overseas interview prep, resume grooming, and verified certificates, we do not guarantee automatic foreign employment, work permits, visa issuance, or fixed freelance income, as these depend entirely on government policies, embassy evaluations, client decisions, and individual student competence.
- Platform Availability: We strive for continuous platform availability but shall not be held liable for temporary technical outages resulting from server maintenance, telecommunication gateway disruptions, or unexpected force majeure events.
8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
- These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by, interpreted, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
- Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these terms shall first be addressed through good-faith mutual negotiations. If unresolved, the matter shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
9. Modifications to Terms
The Society reserves the right to update, amend, or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time to reflect operational, legal, or technical changes. Continued access or use of the website following any posted revisions constitutes formal acceptance of the updated terms.
